Experience the Grandeur of Karva Chauth at Iqbal Inn

To promote women’s empowerment and foster community engagement, the Iqbal Inn Ladies Club, established by Hotel Iqbal Inn, celebrated the festival of Karva Chauth with great enthusiasm under the theme ‘Chand Shagana Da’ (Auspicious Moonlit Night). The event, held in the courtyard of Hotel Iqbal Inn, saw participation from approximately 200 women members of the club, who came together to mark the sacred festival dedicated to strengthening marital bonds.

Under the leadership of Kamalpreet Sethi, Managing Director of Hotel Iqbal Inn, the program witnessed vibrant participation from club members and homemakers. Sethi highlighted the significance of Karva Chauth, stating, “This festival symbolizes the strengthening of the bond between husband and wife. Karva Chauth carries a heartfelt message of love and devotion, and our club organizes such events to further this spirit of togetherness.” The Iqbal Inn Ladies Club regularly hosts such gatherings to promote unity and cultural values.

Event Highlights

The celebration featured traditional rituals, with women performing special pooja using decorated thalis and observing the Karva Chauth fast. A pandit conducted a sacred katha (narrative), guiding the women through the rituals to complete their fast in accordance with religious customs.

The event was enriched with various activities, including:

  • Competitions: Participants showcased their talents in categories like Best Solah Shringar, Best Karva Look, Best Mehndi, Catwalk, and Karva Queen, captivating the audience with their presentations.
  • Cultural Performances: Women performed vibrant dances to popular Bollywood songs, elevating the festive spirit to new heights.

Winners and Recognition

The standout performers included Simran, Naina, Harpreet Hundal, Sonia Goel, and Maninder Kaur, who were declared the main winners. At the closing ceremony, Dimpy Sethi, Siba Sethi, and Sunita Soft presented awards to the winners, honoring their participation and talent.

The event not only celebrated the cultural essence of Karva Chauth but also underscored the Iqbal Inn Ladies Club’s commitment to empowering women through community-driven initiatives.
