India created history on Sunday by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 final to claim their third title. The month-long tournament, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, witnessed extraordinary individual and team performances that lit up the event.

383 Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan set a new benchmark for the most runs in a single T20 World Cup edition with 383 runs. At the time, it surpassed Virat Kohli’s previous record of 319 runs from 2014. Since then, Tim Seifert (326) and Sanju Samson (321) have also crossed Kohli’s mark.
176 Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman forged a 176-run opening partnership during Pakistan’s Super Eight clash against Sri Lanka — the highest partnership for any wicket in T20I history.
