-Important Meeting of Club Executive Held

An important meeting of the Gymkhana Club Executive was held yesterday regarding the upcoming club elections. After detailed discussions, it was unanimously decided to hold the club elections on December 20, 2025, keeping in mind the calendar of events.
On this occasion, Club President Deepak Kampany, Vice President Vikas Puri, Chairman Dr. Manmohan Singh, Harpreet Sandhu, and other members addressed nearly 100 club members, highlighting the developmental works carried out during the current term.
It was informed that the executive meeting, attended by 12 directors, also finalized the following schedule:

Dussehra celebrations – October 1

E.G.M. meeting – October 14

Diwali function – October 17

Club elections – December 20
The management further shared details on the C.A. and legal issues related to the club. They revealed that following an inquiry against the previous auditor Ashok Goyal, the police have registered an FIR. It was clarified that it was the auditor himself who first took the internal matter to the police. The club management has already submitted a detailed reply to the authorities.

Additionally, to scrutinize the balance sheets from 2015 to 2023, a seven-member committee has been constituted, which will investigate and submit its report.
Dr. Manmohan Singh further explained that the said C.A. had been serving as a club member and auditor for the past 37 years, which was against club rules. After objections raised by the ROC, no extension was granted. The matter was also presented before the SSP, Patiala. Subsequently, after verification by the SP (Headquarters), an FIR was lodged and further proceedings initiated.
