The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 is taking place from November 17 to 24 at the Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh. This marks the tournament’s highly anticipated return after a 13-year hiatus and is the first Kabaddi World Cup (men’s or women’s) ever hosted outside India.
India are the defending champions, having claimed the inaugural title in 2012 by defeating Iran in the final.
Participating Teams and Groups
11 teams are competing (Argentina withdrew prior to the start):
Group A (5 teams): India, Bangladesh (hosts), Thailand, Uganda, Germany
Group B (6 teams): Chinese Taipei, Iran, Poland, Kenya, Nepal, Zanzibar
The format features round-robin matches within each group. The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals on November 23, with the final scheduled for November 24.
