The 36th Senior National Fencing Championship kicked off with grandeur today at K.D. Jadhav Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, inaugurated by Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, as the Chief Guest.
The Minister personally interacted with India’s fencing stars:
- Bibish K – Bronze, BRICS Games
- Taniksha Khatri – Silver, Junior Commonwealth & Asian Championships
- Abhinash Kangabam – Bronze, FIE Satellite Tournament, Bahrain
He reaffirmed the Government of India’s unwavering commitment to Olympic sports and talent development.
