The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has registered a corruption case against Gurdeep Singh, a revenue Patwari posted in Chak Janisar, Jalalabad, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 3,000.
The case was filed based on a complaint lodged by Dharmjit Singh Bedi, a resident of Sri Mukatsar Sahib city, on the Chief Minister Anti-Corruption Action Line.
During the investigation, it was found that the Patwari had demanded Rs. 5,000 from Shindar Kaur, a resident of Sri Mukatsar Sahib, to issue copies of mutation. Shindar Kaur recorded the conversation and filed a complaint with the VB.
