India capped off their dominant T20I series against England with a resounding 150-run victory in the final match, fueled by a sensational, record-breaking innings from opener Abhishek Sharma. India, having already secured the series, finished with a 4-1 win.
Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 135 runs off just 54 balls was the highest-ever score by an Indian batsman in men’s T20Is. This innings propelled India to a formidable total of 247/9. Sharma’s century was also the second-fastest by an Indian, trailing only Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball century against Sri Lanka in 2017.
His innings was characterized by an incredible display of power hitting, including 13 sixes – the most ever hit by an Indian batsman in a T20I – and five fours. His half-century, reached in blistering fashion, was the second-fastest by an Indian, behind only Yuvraj Singh’s effort against England in 2007.

Abhishek and Tilak Varma forged a destructive 115-run partnership off just 43 balls, setting the stage for India’s massive total. While England struggled to contain the onslaught, Phil Salt offered some resistance with a 21-ball 55 before being dismissed by Shivam Dube. Jacob Bethell was the only other England batsman to reach double figures, scoring 10 runs.
Abhishek Sharma also contributed with the ball, taking two wickets in an over to further dismantle the England innings. England were eventually bowled out for a mere 97 in just 10.3 overs, handing India their second-biggest win by runs margin in T20Is.
