The 36th Senior National Fencing Championship at K.D. Jadhav Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, electrified spectators on Day Two with intense battles across four individual events. Fencers from Haryana and Tamil Nadu shone brightly, dominating the podium.
Women’s Individual Foil: Haryana’s Kanupriya Claims Crown Haryana’s Kanupriya Chawla captured the women’s foil title, defeating Chandigarh’s Divyanshu Netam 15–10 in a poised final. Chawla secured her spot with a 15–7 semi-final win over Tamil Nadu’s Jenisha N, while Netam advanced by beating Tamil Nadu’s Dharsini Dhivya 15–10.
Men’s Individual Sabre: Nidhi’s Heart-Pounding Victory Tamil Nadu’s K.P. Gisho Nidhi stole the show in a breathtaking men’s sabre final, narrowly defeating Maharashtra’s Abhay Shinde 15–14. Nidhi earned his final berth with a 15–8 win over Rajasthan’s Karan Singh, while Shinde progressed past Jammu & Kashmir’s Vishal Thapar 15–12 in the semi-finals.
Men’s Individual Foil: Haryana’s Dev Dominates Haryana added another gold as Dev powered through the men’s foil final, crushing SSCB’s Mohd. Khan Ismile 15–4. Dev edged out teammate Gajendra Choudhary 15–13 in the semi-finals, while Ismile outlasted Abhinash Kangabam Meitei 15–12.

Women’s Individual Épée: Gujarat’s Jasengbhai Shines Gujarat’s Chaudhary Mitva Jasengbhai clinched the women’s épée gold with a commanding 15–9 win over Punjab’s Ena Arora. Jasengbhai defeated Taniksha Khatri 15–11 in the semi-finals, while Arora narrowly won 14–13 against Haryana’s Prachi Lohan.
