The 36th Senior National Fencing Championship concluded with high drama and razor-sharp action on the final day at KD Jadhav Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Three team titles were decided in front of an electrified crowd.
Women’s Sabre Team Final
Haryana edged Punjab in an absolute nail-biter, winning 45–44 to claim gold.
- Bronze medals: Maharashtra & Tamil Nadu Semi-finals:
- Haryana bt Maharashtra 45–43
- Punjab bt Tamil Nadu 45–33
Men’s Épée Team Final
SSCB delivered a commanding performance, overpowering Jammu & Kashmir 45–29 to take the top honours.
- Bronze medals: Punjab & Manipur Semi-finals:
- SSCB bt Punjab 45–29
- Jammu & Kashmir bt Manipur 45–32
Women’s Foil Team Final
Tamil Nadu sealed victory with a convincing 45–36 win over Manipur.
- Bronze medals: Chandigarh & Chhattisgarh Semi-finals:
- Tamil Nadu bt Chhattisgarh 45–35
- Manipur bt Chandigarh 38–38 (decided on tie-breaker)

Medal Ceremony
Hari Ranjan Rao, IAS (Secretary Sports, Govt. of India & DG, Sports Authority of India) and Lt. General Ajay Ram Dev, SM (Director General of Integrated Training, Army Headquarters) graced the closing ceremony as Guests of Honour and presented the medals.
With the championship now wrapped up, India’s fencing fraternity showcased tremendous depth and intensity throughout the week. Congratulations to all medallists and participants!
