The 69th District-Level School Games commenced today in Patiala. Charanjit Singh Bhullar, Secretary of the District Tournament Committee, shared that the event is being organized under the leadership of Sanjiv Sharma, Chairman of the District Tournament Committee and District Education Officer (Secondary Education), and Dr. Ravinder Pal Singh, Deputy District Education Officer. Guided by District Sports Coordinators Dr. Daljit Singh and Harmandeep Kaur, the games will run from August 26 to September 10 at Polo Ground and P.M. Shri Government Co-Ed Multipurpose Senior Secondary School, Passi Road.

Bhullar informed that the opening day featured basketball matches, with Under-14 girls’ teams from Rajpura and Samana and Under-17 teams from Nabha and Bhadas competing. Competitions in wushu and boxing for girls were also held.
The event was attended by coaches Amarjot Singh, Amrinder Singh Baba, Shashi Maan, Davinder Singh, Tarsem Singh, Gurpreet Singh Tiwana, Balwinder Singh Jassal, Rajinder Saini, Baljit Singh Dharonki, Jaswinder Singh Chappar, Bharpur Singh, Amandeep Kaur, Indu Bala, Paramjit Kaur, Harvir Kaur, Tejinder Kaur, SP Singh, Rajinder Singh Chani, Gurpreet Singh Data, and Jaswinder Singh.
