Chandigarh, February 18
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is all set to conduct its annual board examinations for Classes 8, 10, and 12, with over 8.82 lakh students expected to appear. The exams will be conducted across 2,579 centers established statewide, ensuring a seamless and organized examination process.
Disclosing the details today, Punjab School Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains , announced the exam schedule and key arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the exams.
Exam Schedule and Student Participation
- Class 8 Board Exams: Scheduled to begin on Wednesday, February 19 , with 3,02,189 students appearing.
- Class 12 Board Exams: Set to commence on February 24 , with 2,72,105 Senior Secondary students participating, including 13,363 students appearing for the Senior Secondary Open Exam.
- Class 10 Board Exams: Scheduled to start in March , with 2,84,658 students registered, along with 9,877 students appearing for the Matric Open Exam.

Exam Center Arrangements
To ensure fair and efficient conduct of the exams, the PSEB has established 2,579 examination centers across the state. Each center will be managed by a dedicated team of officials:
- 2,579 Superintendents
- 3,269 Deputy Superintendents
Additionally, a control room has been set up at the PSEB head office to oversee the smooth functioning of the board exams. Parents, students, and stakeholders can reach out to the control room at the following numbers: 0172-5227136, 137, and 138 for any queries or assistance related to the exams.
