India Defeats Malaysia 8-1 to Top Asian Champions Trophy

India has emerged as the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Asian Champions Trophy after a resounding 8-1 victory over Malaysia. The defending champions continued their dominant form, showcasing a clinical performance against their opponents.

Rajkumar Pal was the star of the match for India, scoring a hat-trick in the 3rd, 25th, and 33rd minutes. Araijeet Singh Hundal contributed with two goals in the 6th and 39th minutes. Jugraj Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, and Uttam Singh scored one goal each in the 7th, 22nd, and 40th minutes respectively. Akhimullah Anwar scored the lone goal for Malaysia in the 34th minute.

With three wins from three matches, India has accumulated nine points and currently sits at the top of the table. The six-team tournament is being played in a round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals scheduled for September 16. The final will be played on September 17.
