In a landmark decision, the Punjab Government has appointed chairpersons and trustees for Improvement Trusts across 20 districts , including Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Fazilka, Moga, and Pathankot. These appointments reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening local governance and urban development in the state.

Key Appointments Across Districts:
- Jalandhar: Rajwinder Kaur Thiara has been appointed as the chairperson of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust. Dr. Jasbir, Harcharan Singh Sandhu, and Atma Prakash Bablu have been named trustees.
- Ludhiana: Tarsem Bhinder has been appointed as the chairperson of the Ludhiana Improvement Trust.
- Patiala: Megh Chand Shermajra will serve as the chairperson, with Gulzar Patialvi, Sunny Patiala, and Veerpal Chahal as trustees.
- Hoshiarpur: Gurwinder Singh Pabla has been appointed as the chairperson, supported by trustees Satwant Singh and Balwinder Singh Soni.
- Fazilka: Mohinder Kachura takes the role of chairperson, with Harjit Sahari and Sukhwinder Singh as trustees.
