AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers: India’s Schedule and Live Streaming Details

Patiala, 06 August (Sports Desk)

The Indian U20 women’s football team, absent from the junior women’s Asian Cup since 2006, is set to compete in Group D of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers alongside Indonesia, Turkmenistan, and Myanmar. Fans can catch all the action live!

India’s matches will take place at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar, starting Thursday, with live streaming available for viewers in India.

Coached by Joakim Alexandersson, the Young Tigresses aim to follow in the footsteps of India’s senior team, which qualified for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 earlier this year. India’s last appearance in the senior tournament was in 2003, while their most recent junior outing was in 2006, when the event was for the U19 age group.

India participated in the first three editions of the junior AFC Women’s Asian Cup, including hosting the inaugural event in 2002. Their best performance was reaching the quarter-finals in 2004, hosted by China.

The 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup will be held in Thailand, with the host nation automatically qualified. The remaining 11 spots in the 12-team tournament will be determined through the qualifiers, where 32 teams are split into eight groups of four, played at centralized venues. The eight group winners and the three best runners-up across all groups will advance to the finals in April 2026.

India’s Group D opponents include Indonesia, Turkmenistan, and Myanmar. Meanwhile, six-time champions Japan are in Group F, and defending champions DPR Korea are in Group A.
