Seva Parv: A Celebration of India’s Rich Cultural Heritage

The North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, hosted the “Seva Parv” Artist Camp in Patiala, bringing to life the vision of a developed India through vibrant artworks. Approximately 710 artists, including professionals, college students, and school children, participated across various categories, painting their unique interpretations of a progressive India infused with its rich cultural heritage. Each canvas vividly highlighted India’s stature as a global leader in cultural legacy.
Event Highlights
The camp, part of a nationwide campaign running from September 17 to October 2, 2025, across 75 locations, saw artists use their creativity to depict a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). The artworks reflected diverse perspectives, blending tradition with aspirations for a modern, forward-looking nation. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Sardar Jaswant Singh Jaffar, Director of the Language Department, Punjab, and renowned Punjabi film actress Ms. Sunita Dhir, alongside art enthusiasts. They lauded the artists’ creations and commended NZCC Director Mr. M. Furqan Khan and the Ministry of Culture for this inspiring initiative.

NZCC Director Mr. M. Furqan Khan congratulated all participants for the camp’s success, announcing that winning artists will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to showcase their paintings on the Seva Parv platform and the Ministry of Culture’s social media pages. This recognition offers a prestigious platform for artists to gain national visibility.
