Amritsar Soormas clinched the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League title after defeating Ludhiana Lions by eight wickets in the final.
Chasing a target of 143 runs, Amritsar produced a composed batting performance to complete a comfortable victory. Their disciplined bowling effort, followed by an aggressive and controlled chase, ensured an all-round triumph for the champions.

After winning the toss, Amritsar Soormas opted to bowl first and quickly put Ludhiana Lions under pressure. The Lions struggled to build partnerships and slipped to 86/7 as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Captain Salil Arora, Abhijeet Garg and Krish Bhagat failed to make a significant impact, leaving Ludhiana in a difficult position.
Leg-spinner Mayank Markande emerged as the standout performer with the ball. His accurate four-over spell yielded three wickets for just 17 runs, repeatedly disrupting Ludhiana’s momentum.

Harish Kumar and Jassinder Singh attempted to revive the innings and added valuable runs. However, Shubham Rana dismissed Jassinder for 14 off 12 deliveries, ending the partnership.
Harish Kumar later combined with Sahil Bhaskar to launch a late counterattack. The pair added 26 runs for the final wicket, helping Ludhiana reach 142 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Naman Dhir and Sahaj Dhawan Complete Comfortable Chase
Amritsar also suffered an early setback when Jashanpreet Singh was dismissed during the chase. However, captain Naman Dhir and Sahaj Dhawan quickly restored control.
The duo added 58 runs together, with Dhir maintaining an aggressive approach. He struck a brisk 29 off just 12 balls before being dismissed.
Dhawan then joined Rahul Kumar to finish the job. The pair remained unbeaten through the remaining chase and guided Amritsar Soormas past the target of 143 runs to secure an emphatic eight-wicket victory.
The result capped an impressive campaign for Amritsar Soormas, who combined consistent batting performances with a disciplined bowling attack throughout the tournament.
Organised by the Punjab Cricket Association, the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League features six city-based franchises and provides a platform for emerging and established cricketing talent from Punjab.
