Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has achieved a significant milestone. The state recorded a 71 percent increase in revenue from stamp and registration in July 2024, marking a remarkable achievement.
Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa highlighted that the government’s commitment to providing transparent, hassle-free, and corruption-free services is driving the continuous increase in the state’s revenue. He noted that the revenue increased by 22 percent in May 2024, 42 percent in June, and 71 percent in July 2024, reflecting the state’s progress towards becoming a ‘Rangla Punjab.’
Jimpa shared that the state exchequer received Rs. 463.08 crore under stamp and registration in July 2024, a 71 percent increase from Rs. 270.67 crore in July 2023. Additionally, from April to July 2024, the state earned Rs. 1854.12 crore, a 27 percent increase compared to Rs. 1461.87 crore during the same period in 2023.

Jimpa credited Chief Minister Mann’s regular visits to government offices for gathering feedback and issuing guidelines to ensure citizens face no issues. During a recent visit to the Rajpura Tehsil office, the Chief Minister interacted with people, who praised the government’s efforts to provide hassle-free services.
The government, led by Chief Minister Mann, remains committed to eliminating corruption and providing bribe-free services. The Revenue Department has issued a helpline number (8184900002) for complaints regarding its functioning, and NRIs can register complaints at 9464100168. These numbers are for written complaints only.
Jimpa urged the people of Punjab not to pay bribes to any officer or employee of the revenue department and to report any requests for bribes immediately. He assured that corrupt officials and employees would not be spared.
