Congress and Trinamool Congress won four seats each, BJP secured two seats, while AAP, DMK, and Azad each won one seat.

Trends for the by-elections held for a total of 13 assembly seats in India are coming in. Currently, Congress and Trinamool Congress have won four seats each, BJP has secured two seats, and AAP, DMK, and an Independent candidate have won one seat each. The BJP faced a significant setback in this by-election, winning only two seats in Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Congress emerged victorious in two seats in Himachal Pradesh and both seats in Uttarakhand. Trinamool Congress won all four seats in West Bengal. In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate won the only seat by a large margin. An Independent candidate won the sole seat in Bihar, and DMK secured victory in the single seat in Tamil Nadu.

Mohinder Bhagat of AAP secured a decisive victory from the Jalandhar West seat in Punjab with a margin of 37,325 votes.

Independent candidate Shankar Singh won the Rupouli seat in Bihar with a margin of 8,246 votes.

Himachal Pradesh (3 seats)

  • Kamlesh Thakur of Congress won from Dehra with a margin of 9,399 votes.
  • Hardeep Singh Bawa of Congress won from Nalagarh with a margin of 8,990 votes.
  • Ashish Sharma of BJP won from Hamirpur with a margin of 1,871 votes.

Madhya Pradesh:

  • Kamlesh Pratap Shah of BJP won from Amarwara with a margin of 3,027 votes.

Tamil Nadu

  • Anniyur Siva @ Sivashanmugam. A of DMK won from Vikravandi with a margin of 67,757 votes.

Uttarakhand (2 seats):

  • Lakhapat Singh Butola of Congress won from Badrinath with a margin of 5,224 votes.
  • Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin of Congress won from Manglaur with a margin of 422 votes.

West Bengal (4 seats)

  • Krishna Kalyani of Trinamool Congress won from Raiganj with a margin of 50,077 votes.
  • Mukut Mani Adhikari of Trinamool Congress won from Ranaghat South with a margin of 39,480 votes.
  • Madhuparna Thakur of Trinamool Congress won from Bagda with a margin of 33,455 votes.
  • Supti Pandey of Trinamool Congress won from Maniktala with a margin of 62,312 votes.
