The statewide operation, conducted across all 28 police districts, was overseen by Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, following instructions from Chief Minister Mann to make Punjab a drug-free state. A five-member Cabinet Sub-Committee, chaired by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, has been formed to monitor the anti-drug campaign.
Special DGP (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla provided details, stating that over 200 police teams, comprising more than 1,300 personnel and supervised by 93 gazetted officers, conducted raids at 442 locations across Punjab. The operation led to the registration of 97 First Information Reports (FIRs), with 494 suspicious individuals checked during the day-long effort.
