The Haryana Steelers etched their names in Pro Kabaddi history on Sunday, defeating the Patna Pirates 32-23 in a thrilling final at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.
The Steelers, who topped the league stage in Pro Kabaddi Season 11, dominated the match with a balanced performance. Mohammadreza Shadloui led the charge with a stellar display, while Shivam Patare and Vinay chipped in with crucial contributions.

Haryana got off to a strong start, controlling the tempo with Patare and Shadloui leading the offense. Their resolute defense, marshaled by Jaideep and Rahul Sethpal, stifled the Patna Pirates’ attack, restricting their scoring opportunities. Despite a late surge by Gurdeep and Sudhakar, the Steelers maintained a narrow lead at halftime (15-12).
The second half began cautiously, but Shadloui continued his impressive raid form, keeping the Steelers ahead. Patna Pirates displayed their fighting spirit with Devank and Ayan threatening an upset. However, Haryana managed the crucial first All-Out of the game, thanks to Shadloui’s brilliance. This surge pushed them into a comfortable nine-point lead.
In the closing minutes, the Steelers showcased exceptional game management, shutting down any hopes of a Patna comeback. They secured their first-ever Pro Kabaddi title with a convincing victory, sending their passionate fans into a frenzy.
