The Pro Kabaddi League 2024 reaches its climax on Sunday with a thrilling final between Patna Pirates and Haryana Steelers at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM IST and will be available for live streaming and telecast.
Patna Pirates are aiming for a record-extending fourth PKL title, their first since 2017, having achieved a three-peat between seasons three and five. They reached the season eight final but were narrowly defeated by Dabang Delhi by a single point. Devank Dalal, the PKL 2024’s top raider with 296 points from 24 matches, has been instrumental in the Pirates’ journey to the final. Their squad also boasts Ankit Jaglan, who is tied for the most tackle points in PKL 2024 with Haryana Steelers’ Mohammadreza Shadloui and Tamil Thalaivas’ Nitesh Kumar. Patna finished fourth in the group stage before overcoming former champions U Mumba and Dabang Delhi in the eliminators and semi-finals, respectively.

Haryana Steelers, on the other hand, are vying for their maiden PKL crown. They comfortably topped the group stage and defeated UP Yoddhas in the semi-finals to reach their second consecutive final, having lost the PKL Season 10 final to Puneri Paltan. Their strong defense, led by Mohammadreza Shadloui and Rahul Sethpal, has been a key factor in their success this season.

Heading into the final, Haryana Steelers and Patna Pirates have faced each other 13 times in PKL history. Haryana has won seven matches, while Patna has won five, with one match ending in a tie (season five, 41-41). Notably, the Steelers have already defeated the Pirates twice in Season 11 league matches (37-32 and 42-36).
