Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh has clarified that there has been no diversion of central government funds under the Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojna (AB-MMSBY) scheme. In fact, he stated that the Central Government owes Punjab Rs 249 crores.
Addressing a press conference, the Minister explained that the delay in payments to hospitals was due to technical glitches after switching to a new software launched by the National Health Agency (NHA). He also clarified that the funds are being utilized solely for public welfare as per the guidelines of the NHA.
