Punjab PR Department Announces Promotions: Two Joint Directors, Six Deputy Directors Elevated

Eight Officers Promoted in PR Department
The Punjab Information and Public Relations Department announced the promotion of eight officers on May 16, 2025. Two Deputy Directors have been elevated to Joint Directors, while five Information and Public Relations Officers (IPROs) and one Art Executive have been promoted to Deputy Directors.
Approval and Appointment Details
The promotions were finalized following departmental promotion committee meetings held on May 8, 2025, and approved by Information and Public Relations Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains. Appointment orders were issued on May 16, assigning new roles to the officers.
New Joint Directors
- Ishwinder Singh Grewal: Promoted as Joint Director and posted at the head office in Chandigarh.
- Manvinder Singh: Elevated as Joint Director Press/Chief Minister, with additional charge as Joint Director Border Range Amritsar.

New Deputy Directors and Postings
The six officers promoted to Deputy Directors and their postings are:
- Ruchi Kalra: Bathinda
- Rashim Verma: Head office, Chandigarh, with additional charge of Sri Anandpur Sahib
- Navdeep Singh Gill: Head office, Chandigarh
- Prabhdeep Singh Kauldhar: Head office, Chandigarh, with additional charge of Sangrur
- Hakam Thaper: Jalandhar
- Hardeep Singh: Head office, Chandigarh
Officers Join New Roles
The newly promoted officers officially joined their roles on May 16 and reported to Secretary, Information and Public Relations, Mr. Ramvir. They expressed gratitude to Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains and senior officials for the opportunity, pledging to serve with dedication in their new positions.
