Thrilling Finish as Patiala Edges Out Amritsar in Low-Scoring Nail-Biter

Patiala, 28 December (Sports Desk)

ACA Amritsar won the toss and elected to bat first, but struggled to build momentum and were eventually bowled out for a modest 123 runs in 34.5 overs. HRSCF Patiala’s chase proved to be anything but straightforward. Despite reaching the target in just 30.3 overs, they lost 9 wickets in a tense finish. The match echoed the earlier heart-stopping encounter between BECC and ACA Amritsar, where Amritsar emerged victorious by a single run.

Continuing rain has unfortunately postponed the third round matches, adding another layer of intrigue to the tournament. In Pool A, the standings are particularly tight. If BECC manages to defeat HRSCF Patiala, a three-way tie will ensue between Amritsar, Patiala, and BECC, with net run rate ultimately deciding which team progresses.

Meanwhile, in Pool B, CAP appears poised to secure a semi-final berth. The crucial match between CWN Zirakpur and SCA Sonipat will determine the other qualifying team from the pool.
