Chandigarh, July 28

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the central government, accusing it of deliberately withholding Rs 1000 crore allocated for the state’s healthcare under the National Health Mission. Mann claimed this move was aimed at sabotaging the state’s successful Aam Aadmi Clinic initiative.

Highlighting the immense popularity of these clinics, Mann stated that every third Punjabi has benefited from them. He further emphasized the state’s commitment to healthcare by flagging off 58 new hi-tech ambulances.

Mann also criticized the Union Budget for ignoring Punjab’s contributions to the nation and demanded a special economic package to boost the state’s growth. He expressed disappointment with the outgoing Governor’s actions and called for a fair and impartial approach from the new Governor.

The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s focus on improving healthcare infrastructure, job creation, and economic development. He highlighted the successful acquisition of the Goindwal power plant as a significant achievement.
