Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has achieved significant milestones in strengthening its power transmission network. The corporation has successfully completed major upgradation works worth Rs. 151 crore since January 2024, a step aimed at ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply across the state.
Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO announced the development, highlighting the commissioning of three new 66 kV grid substations, adding a substantial 80 MVA to the power grid. Additionally, 32 power transformers were augmented, and five new ones were installed, collectively increasing capacity by 354.5 MVA.

ETO emphasized PSPCL’s proactive approach to meeting the state’s growing power demands. “These upgrades reflect our commitment to improving power delivery and enhancing the lives of Punjab’s residents,” he said.
The minister further outlined PSPCL’s dedication to sustainable power supply through infrastructure development and technological advancement. He attributed the corporation’s success to the Punjab government’s focus on modernizing the state’s power transmission infrastructure.
“PSPCL is committed to providing reliable and efficient power supply to consumers,” ETO said, adding that these achievements align with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision for a power-sufficient Punjab.
