Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the logo and t-shirt for the third edition of the Khedan Watan Punjab Dian sporting event. The mega event will commence on August 29th to commemorate National Sports Day.
The Chief Minister announced that over five lakh players will compete in nine age groups across 37 games during the two-month-long extravaganza, which will begin at the War Heroes Stadium in Sangrur.
A cash prize pool of over Rs 9 crore is on offer for the winners. Notably, this year’s edition includes para sports like Athletics, Badminton, and Powerlifting, reflecting Punjab’s growing focus on inclusivity in sports.

The Chief Minister emphasized the event’s aim to channel youth energy positively and combat drug abuse. He outlined the competition schedule, including block-level (September 1-10), district-level (September 15-22), and state-level (October 11-November 9) stages.
Mann recalled the success of the second season in 2023, which saw participation from 4.5 lakh players and a prize distribution of Rs 8.87 crore.
