New Zealand has announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, featuring a strong contingent led by the experienced duo of Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates.
Devine and Bates, who have both participated in every edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, will be aiming to lead New Zealand to their first-ever title after finishing runners-up in the inaugural two editions.

The squad also includes other experienced players like Lea Tahuhu, Amelia Kerr, and Maddy Green. The pace attack is further bolstered by Jess Kerr, Tahuhu, Hannah Rowe, and Molly Penfold, while Leigh Kasperek, Amelia Kerr, and Fran Jonas provide spin options.
New Zealand’s coach, Ben Sawyer, expressed his satisfaction with the squad, highlighting the excellent blend of experience and youth. He praised Devine and Bates for their leadership and tournament experience, which will be invaluable in the upcoming competition.

The White Ferns are drawn in Group A alongside Australia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. They will play warm-up matches against South Africa and England before the start of the main tournament.
