Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Thursday welcomed 17 newly appointed Assistant Engineers (Mechanical) to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).
In a ceremony marking the occasion, the Minister congratulated the new recruits and encouraged them to serve the state with dedication and integrity. He emphasized the importance of their roles in providing quality power services to Punjab’s residents.
Since April 2022, PSPCL and Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) have collectively recruited 5,094 candidates, including 1,215 on compassionate grounds. To further strengthen the workforce, PSPCL has announced plans to fill 3,888 vacant positions, including 100 Assistant Engineers (Electrical) in October.

Minister ETO highlighted the Punjab government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities and fulfilling its promises to the people. He mentioned the recent introduction of 300 units of free electricity for Punjab residents as a significant step towards fulfilling these commitments.
The Minister emphasized the importance of a skilled workforce in ensuring the success of PSPCL and expressed confidence in the new recruits’ ability to contribute positively to the organization’s goals.
