In a festive gesture, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has approved a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and pensioners. This hike will benefit over 6.5 lakh individuals and will be effective from November 1, 2024.
With this increase, the total DA for state government employees and pensioners will now be 42%. The decision aims to provide relief to government employees and pensioners and improve their overall well-being.
