A captivating theatrical performance, “Ek Raag – Do Sawar,” presented by the Rang Sanskar Theatre Group from Alwar, Rajasthan, enthralled the audience at the Kali Das Auditorium in Patiala. The play, directed by renowned theater director Dr. Desh Raj Meena, delved into the complexities of marital relationships in contemporary society.
The play, based on Rajendra Sharma’s story explored the delicate balance between love, conflict, and understanding within a marriage. It highlighted the importance of communication and compromise in maintaining a healthy relationship. The talented actors, including Jai Singh, Nikhil Kumar, Rahul Gupta, Sabita Gupta, Akash Rajoria, Diksha Soni, and Paramjeet Mukherjee, brought the characters to life with their powerful performances.
The technical aspects of the play, including lighting, sound, and stage design, were equally impressive. The team behind the scenes, including Dr. Dinesh Lal Meena for lighting, Mukesh Sharma, Bhagat Singh Rajput, and Sandeep Kumar for decoration, and Shweta Gupta for costumes, contributed significantly to the overall impact of the performance.

The play was well-received by the audience, with many praising the actors’ performances and the director’s vision. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Patiala Range DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu, Padma Shri Pran Sabharwal, and renowned architect L.R. Gupta. They congratulated Parminder Pal Kaur, the festival director, for her efforts in organizing the National Theater Festival.
Dr. Desh Raj Meena, the director of the play, was honored with a cash prize of Rs. 5100, a letter of appreciation, and a gold medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to theater. The event was hosted by Dr. Manju Arora, who highlighted the significance of such cultural events in promoting art and culture.
