Punjab Police has taken a significant step towards enhancing the skills and knowledge of its officers by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU). This collaboration aims to provide advanced training in various aspects of law enforcement, including cybercrime investigation, blockchain technology, and counter-terrorism.
The MoU was signed between Additional Director General of Police (Technical Services) Ram Singh and Pro-Vice Chancellor of RRU, Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, in the presence of DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Key areas of collaboration include:
- Classroom-based training: Traditional classroom sessions on various law enforcement topics.
- Virtual learning: Online courses and webinars to provide flexibility in training.
- Hybrid learning: A combination of both classroom and online learning.
- Specialized training: Focus on areas like cybercrime investigation, blockchain technology, financial fraud prevention, drone technology, counter-terrorism, and VIP security.
DGP Gaurav Yadav expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that it would significantly enhance the capabilities of Punjab Police officers. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and skill development in the evolving landscape of law enforcement.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward for Punjab Police in its efforts to modernize and improve its services to the public.
