The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has commended Punjab for its significant efforts in reducing stubble burning incidents by nearly 71% compared to the previous year.

During a review meeting chaired by CAQM Chairperson Rajesh Verma, the state government’s proactive approach and strict enforcement measures were acknowledged. Verma emphasized the need for continued vigilance and stricter enforcement to further minimize stubble burning incidents.
