Diljit Dosanjh’s Hyderabad Concert Faces Legal Hurdles

Patiala, 15 November (Desk)
Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming Dil-Luminati concert in Hyderabad has hit a roadblock due to a legal notice issued by the Telangana District Welfare Office.
The notice restricts the singer from performing certain songs, including “Patiala Peg,” “Case,” and “Panj Tara,” citing concerns about their promotion of alcohol and drug use.
The complaint was filed by Panditrao Dharenavar, an Assistant Professor at PPGC-46, who argued that the lyrics of these songs could negatively influence young attendees. He also raised concerns about potential noise pollution, citing the harmful effects of excessive noise, particularly on children.

The notice references a previous directive from the Punjab and Haryana High Court that prohibited songs promoting alcohol, drugs, or gun culture at live performances.
It remains to be seen how Diljit Dosanjh and his team will address these concerns and whether the concert will proceed as planned.
