The AAP delegation, which also included Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Deepak Bali, and Parminder Singh Goldy, emphasized that Chandigarh is the sole capital of Punjab and cannot be shared with Haryana. They firmly rejected any proposal to allocate land in Chandigarh for Haryana’s legislative assembly.
Cheema stated that Haryana should build its legislative assembly complex in Panchkula, as originally planned. The AAP leader also criticized previous governments for failing to safeguard Punjab’s interests regarding Chandigarh.
The party reiterated its commitment to protecting Punjab’s rights and ensuring that Chandigarh remains an integral part of the state. The AAP delegation vowed to continue fighting for this cause and prevent any encroachment on Punjab’s territory.
