The Punjab Animal Husbandry Department has taken stringent action against five Veterinary Officers who were found to be absent from duty for extended periods. These officers have been dismissed from service with immediate effect.

Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, emphasized the zero-tolerance policy towards negligence and absenteeism. He reiterated that such behavior will not be condoned.
Principal Secretary Rahul Bhandari issued the dismissal order, highlighting the prolonged absence of the five officers from their designated duties.
The department’s decisive action aims to ensure accountability and efficiency within the veterinary services sector.
