AAP Set to Make History in 2025 After Success in 2013, 2015, and 2020: Kejriwal

New Delhi, November 23
The results of the Punjab Assembly by-elections have injected a wave of enthusiasm into the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Out of four seats contested in Punjab, AAP secured a decisive victory on three. Addressing the media, AAP’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal expressed confidence that the party is on track to create history in the 2025 Delhi elections.
“This victory is a semi-final for the upcoming Delhi elections and a prelude to the 2027 Punjab elections. The people have shown that the AAP government is doing excellent work,” said Kejriwal.
He highlighted that AAP not only won three of the four contested seats but also caused the BJP to forfeit its deposits on these three seats. These constituencies were won by AAP for the first time, as even during the party’s sweeping victory in the 2022 Punjab elections, it couldn’t claim them. With these wins, AAP now holds 95 seats in Punjab.

Punjab’s Trust in AAP’s Governance
Kejriwal emphasized that the victories signify public approval of AAP’s governance model. In 2022, AAP received a historic mandate with 92 out of 117 seats in Punjab. The by-election results reaffirm the public’s trust in the party’s work, further solidifying its presence in the state.
“The Delhi model of governance has now reached Punjab, where we are delivering the same high-quality public services. From free electricity and water to improving schools and healthcare, the people of Punjab are now experiencing what Delhi achieved under AAP,” he said.
AAP’s Transformative Governance Model
Kejriwal reiterated the key pillars of AAP’s governance:
- Education: Transformation of government schools to match and surpass private institutions.
- Healthcare: Establishing mohalla clinics and offering free healthcare services.
- Public Services: Free electricity and water for households, as well as free bus rides for women.
He pointed out that the AAP model focuses on improving the lives of common citizens by providing essential services at no cost while simultaneously enhancing infrastructure.
“Our government has delivered 24-hour electricity, built state-of-the-art schools and hospitals, and ensured free healthcare and transport for women. These initiatives have changed lives and set new benchmarks in governance,” Kejriwal added.

The Road Ahead: Delhi and Beyond
Kejriwal asserted that AAP is poised for a historic win in the upcoming 2025 Delhi elections. He drew attention to AAP’s track record, starting from its 49-day government in 2013 to its sweeping victories in 2015 and 2020.
“The by-election results in Punjab are not just a win for the state but a prelude to Delhi. We will again create history with an overwhelming mandate in 2025,” he stated.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann also expressed his delight, emphasizing that AAP’s victories represent public approval of their performance. “The people of Punjab have rejected corrupt politics and chosen development, accountability, and good governance,” said Mann.
AAP’s Impact on National Politics
Kejriwal noted that other political parties, including the BJP, are now adopting AAP’s policies, such as free electricity and social welfare schemes. “What they once mocked as ‘freebies,’ they are now promising in their manifestos,” he quipped.
Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak lauded AAP’s transformative approach to politics, stating that it focuses on delivering tangible benefits to citizens rather than divisive rhetoric.

“AAP’s politics of work and vision stands in stark contrast to the BJP’s empty promises and divisive politics. The people of Punjab and Delhi recognize this difference, which is why they continue to trust Kejriwal’s leadership,” said Pathak.
AAP’s Message to the Nation
As AAP gears up for the Delhi elections, the party remains confident of its growing influence and ability to transform Indian politics. Kejriwal declared, “The broom (AAP’s election symbol) isn’t just cleaning houses anymore; it’s cleaning the nation. With the public’s support, we will continue this journey of honest and impactful governance.”
