The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested Narinder Singh, a Junior Engineer (JE) at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) in Nabha, Patiala district, for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from a complainant, Bhola Chand Singla, who had alleged that the JE demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 to adjust a pending fine on his electricity meter. This was the second instance of bribery by the JE, as he had already received Rs 10,000 earlier.
