Adelaide/Patiala, 06 December
Australia took control of the second Test against India, reducing the visitors to 180 on the first day. Mitchell Starc was the star performer for Australia, claiming a career-best 6/48.
India’s Dismal Start:
India, who won the toss and elected to bat, got off to a poor start. Starc dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal early, followed by the wickets of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Nitish Kumar Reddy played a valiant knock of 42 runs, but it wasn’t enough to salvage India’s innings.

Australia’s Strong Finish to the Day:
Australia, in reply, reached 86/1 at stumps, with Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne well-set. Australia still trails by 94 runs, but with their strong batting lineup and a favorable pitch, they are in a good position to take a significant lead in the match.
