Patiala, December 13
District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav directed all Returning Officers to ensure special monitoring at sensitive polling booths during the voting for Municipal Corporations, Councils, and Panchayats scheduled for December 21. She emphasized that the entire election process would be videographed in compliance with guidelines issued by the Punjab State Election Commission.
Dr. Yadav reviewed the election arrangements in a meeting with ADCs Isha Singal, Navreet Kaur Sekhon, and Anuprita Johal; SPs Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam and Harbant Kaur; SDMs; Returning Officers; and DSPs. She instructed strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct and warned that any violation would not be tolerated. The Deputy Commissioner further emphasized that no laxity should occur in conducting fair, free, and peaceful elections.

The District Election Officer also discussed critical matters such as polling booth vulnerability mapping, security arrangements, videography, strong room management, election material, training, and deployment of election staff. She appealed to registered voters to participate actively and fearlessly in the voting process.
The meeting was also attended via video conferencing by SDMs Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh, Kirpalveer Singh, and Manjeet Kaur, along with DSPs Manoj Gorsi, Satnam Singh, and other officials.
