Child Rights Commission Urges Change in School Timings Amid Severe Cold and Fog

Chandigarh, January 9

The Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission, led by Chairman Mr. Kanwardeep Singh, has recommended to the Punjab School Education Department a change in school timings for government and private institutions due to the harsh winter conditions.

Chairman Kanwardeep Singh highlighted that children are currently facing immense difficulties caused by extreme cold and dense fog. Younger students, in particular, are reluctant to attend school under such challenging conditions. To prioritize the safety and well-being of students, he proposed adjusting school timings to start at 10 AM until January 31.
