In a historic achievement at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, both the Indian men’s and women’s kho kho teams emerged victorious in the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup 2025, defeating Nepal in their respective finals.
Men’s Final: India vs. Nepal
The Indian men’s team secured the championship with a commanding 54-36 victory over Nepal. Opting to attack first, India quickly established dominance, leading 26-0 by the end of Turn 1. Nepal attempted a comeback in Turn 2, narrowing the gap to 26-18. However, India’s relentless offense in Turn 3 extended their lead to 54-18. Despite Nepal’s efforts in the final turn, India maintained their lead to clinch the title.

Women’s Final: India vs. Nepal
The Indian women’s team delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Nepal 78-40. Starting as attackers, India swiftly accumulated points, leading 34-0 by the end of Turn 1. Nepal reduced the deficit to 35-24 in Turn 2, but India dominated Turn 3, extending their lead to 73-24. The final turn saw India comfortably securing the championship.

The inaugural Kho Kho World Cup 2025 featured 20 men’s and 19 women’s teams. Both Indian teams remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional skill and strategy.
