In a thrilling encounter, Nigeria, making their tournament debut, stunned New Zealand by two runs in a rain-reduced 13-over contest. 1 After posting 65-6 in their allotted overs, Nigeria produced a brilliant defensive display in the field, restricting New Zealand to 57-5 despite a late surge.
