Defending champions India continued their winning streak at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, defeating hosts Malaysia by 10 wickets in their second Group A match.
Vaishnavi Sharma stole the show with a sensational performance, claiming a hat-trick and finishing with impressive figures of 5/5. The Malaysian batting order crumbled under pressure, with Joshitha VJ, Aayushi Shukla, and Vaishnavi Sharma picking up crucial wickets. Malaysia were eventually bowled out for a paltry 31 runs.

In reply, India chased down the target with ease, losing no wickets. Gongadi Trisha (27*) and G Kamalini guided their team to victory in just 2.5 overs.
This victory places India at the top of Group A with four points from two matches. They will next face Sri Lanka in their final group stage match on Thursday.
