India secured a comprehensive 150-run victory over Scotland in their final Super Six match of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. This dominant win solidified India’s position at the top of Super Six Group one.

Courtesy of the victory, reigning champions India stayed at the top of their Super Six Group with eight points from four games and a net run rate of +5.724.

Australia, who have six points from three games, will now need a big win over Sri Lanka in their final Super Six Group 1 game on Wednesday to topple India from the perch. Both India and Australia had already qualified for the semi-finals.

If India finish atop the Super Six Group 1 standings, they will face England in the ICC U19 WOMEN’S T20 Worldf Cup semi-finals on Friday. A runners-up finish will see them face off against Group 2 winners South Africa later on the same day.

In Tuesday’s cricket match, Scotland captain Niamh Muir won the toss and elected to field first.

However, losing the coin toss hardly seemed like an inconvenience for the Indian batters as Trisha and her opening partner G Kamalini took the attack to the Scottish bowlers from the start.

The duo put up 147 runs on the board for the opening wicket stand before Maisie Maceira finally managed to separate the pair in the 14th over by dismissing Kamalini for 51.

Trisha, however, continued her rampage and with Sanika Chalke (29) holding up the other end, went on to score an unbeaten 110 off just 59 deliveries to register what is the first-ever century in U19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Her knock comprised 13 fours and four sixes.

India eventually posted 208/1 in their 20 overs, inviting Scotland to chase down a daunting target.

Scotland’s chase, however, collapsed like a house of cards. Only four Scottish batters – Pippa Kelly (12), Emma Walsingham (12), Pippa Sproul (11) and Nayma Sheikh (10) – managed to post double-digit scores as they were all out for 58.

Aayushi Shukla (4/8) and Vaishnavi Sharma (3/5) wrecked through the Scottish top order while Trisha doubled down on her batting heroics by cleaning up the tail with figures of 3/6.

IND-W vs SCO-W ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 brief scores: India 208/1 in 20 overs (Gongadi Trisha 110*; Maisie Maceira 1/25) beat Scotland (Pippa Kelly, 12 Emma Walsingham 12; Aayushi Shukla 4/8) by 150 runs.
