India has cruised into the final of the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup with a convincing nine-wicket victory over England in the semi-final held at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. Parunika Sisodia (21/3) received player of the match award.
Chasing a target of 114, India reached the total comfortably in just 15 overs. Opener G. Kamalini led the charge with an unbeaten 56 off 50 balls. Her strong opening partnership of 60 runs with Gongadi Trisha laid the foundation for a smooth chase.

Earlier, England had a promising start after electing to bat. However, after a 37-run opening stand, they suffered a batting collapse. While a subsequent partnership between Perrin and captain Norgrove steadied the innings, the Indian spinners, Aayushi Shukla, Parunika Sisodia, and Vaishnavi Sharma, triggered a dramatic downfall. They took six wickets for just 11 runs, leaving England struggling at 92 for eight. England ultimately finished with a total of 113 for eight, a score that proved insufficient against a strong Indian batting lineup.
This victory sets up a final clash between India and South Africa, scheduled for Sunday at the same venue. South Africa had earlier defeated Australia in the other semi-final. This is a rematch of the 2023 final, where India had defeated England to claim the inaugural title
