Patiala, 03 February (Sports Desk)

Following India’s victorious campaign at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, four Indian players have been selected for the Team of the Tournament.

Gongadi Trisha, who was named Player of the Tournament, leads the selections. Her exceptional all-around performance, including scoring 309 runs (the most in the tournament) and taking crucial wickets, especially her 3/15 and unbeaten 44 in the final, made her a standout player.

Joining Trisha in the team are fellow opener Kamalini Gunalan, who contributed 143 runs, and the talented bowling duo of Aayushi Shukla and Vaishnavi Sharma. Sharma finished the tournament as the highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets, while Shukla was close behind with 14.

South Africa, despite their loss in the final, has two representatives in the team: captain Kayla Reyneke, who took 11 wickets, and batter Jemma Botha, who played a crucial role in their semi-final victory. Nthabiseng Nini has been named as the 12th player.
