Dhinidhi Desinghu’s Record-Breaking Streak Continues at National Games 2025

Dhinidhi Desinghu’s incredible performance at the National Games 2025 in Uttarakhand shows no signs of slowing down. The 14-year-old Paris Olympian has now won nine medals – seven gold, one silver, and one bronze – and broken two national records in swimming.

On Monday, Desinghu set a new national record in the women’s 400m freestyle, clocking 4:24.60 at the Manaskhand Tarantal in Golapur. She surpassed the previous record of 4:24.70 set by Hashika Ramachandra last year and also broke the meet record of 4:27.93 held by Bhavya Sachdeva.

Desinghu then added another gold to her collection, teaming up with Srihari Nataraj, Akash Mani, and Nina Venkatesh to win the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay in 3:41.03.  

Her nine medals include golds in the 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly, women’s 4x100m freestyle relay, 50m freestyle, and women’s 4x200m freestyle relay (alongside Shirin, Shalini Dixit, and Meenakshi Menon), a silver in the 50m butterfly, and a bronze in the 4x100m medley relay. She also set a new national record in the 200m freestyle earlier in the competition.   Sources and related content
