The Gujarat Giants secured a thrilling 6-wicket victory over UP Warriorz in the third match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 , played at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday. Chasing a target of 144 runs , the Giants achieved the feat in 18 overs , losing just four wickets.

Gujarat Giants’ Batting Heroics
Led by skipper Ashleigh Gardner , who top-scored with a brilliant 52 off 32 balls batting at No. 4, the Giants chased down the target with ease. Gardner was well-supported by West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin , who remained unbeaten on 33 off 18 balls , and Harleen Deol , who contributed 34 runs from 30 deliveries .

The trio’s explosive batting ensured Gujarat reached the target comfortably, despite a late fightback from UP Warriorz.
For UP Warriorz, English spinner Sophie Ecclestone was the standout bowler, picking up 2 wickets for 16 runs in her four overs. Additionally, Grace Harris and Tahlia McGrath claimed one wicket each.
