Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, passionately urged 450 newly recruited youth to become the “foot soldiers” in the state government’s crusade against corruption and drugs. Mann highlighted the state government’s achievement in providing 54,142 government jobs over the past three years through a transparent, merit-based process. He proudly noted that this milestone, which now exceeds 55,000 jobs with the latest appointments, has reversed the trend of brain drain in Punjab. The new recruits secured positions across various departments, including Housing, Agriculture, Water Resources, Sports and Youth Services, Local Government, Health and Family Welfare, School Education, Water Supply and Sanitation, and Excise and Taxation. Mann expressed satisfaction that many youth, who once planned to migrate abroad, are now preparing for competitive exams to secure government jobs within the state.

The Chief Minister sharply criticized previous governments, alleging that their hands were “drenched in the blood of the common man” due to rampant corruption and exploitation.
